Why does childbirth education matter?

That’s a question my dear friend and colleague Kaitlyn recently asked me. In a country where maternal and infant mortality rates are rising, making informed choices during pregnancy and birth has never been more important. Every birthing person deserves to feel confident, respected, and empowered in their decision-making. That’s why I’m so passionate about creating a space where families can learn, ask questions, and walk away feeling truly prepared.

What does my Childbirth Education class include?

Each class is a deep dive into:

• The anatomy and physiology of labor and birth
• Pain management tools and comfort measures
• Hands-on demonstrations to make learning engaging and practical
• How to make informed, confident decisions throughout your birth journey

We end each session by creating a customized birth plan using [M]otherboard Birth, so you leave with a clear vision you can share with your birth team. My goal is simple: to make sure you feel equipped, informed, and empowered as you approach your birth.

Class Details:

• Length: 5 to 7 hours
• Offered on weekends
• Choose the format that works best for you:
  • In your home (yes—pajamas encouraged!)
